Absentee Voting
Any registered voter eligible to vote in an election may
request an absentee ballot by submitting their request
in writing, presenting a picture identification with a
signature in person or by authorizing a designee to
pick-up the ballot on the day prior to Election Day.

returned in person or by mail, or by authorizing a
designated person to deliver the ballot to the
Supervisor of Elections.

Political Signage in your Neighborhood
The
City of Miami Code and City Zoning Code, and
County Regulations and State Statutes control the
size, placement and timely removal of political signs and
advertising.
In a
nutshell:
-
Temporary
political signs on private
property in
non-residential districts may not exceed
15 square feet (ex. 3’ x 5’) without a city
permit.
-
Temporary
political signs on private
property in residential
districts may not exceed
4 square feet (ex. 2’ x
2’) without a city permit.
-
Political
campaign signs shall not be erected, posted,
painted, tacked, nailed, or otherwise displayed,
placed, or located on or above any state or county
road right-of-way.
-
All
political signs must be removed within
30 days after the
election.
-
If
political signs are not removed within the specified
period, the City has the authority to remove such
signs and may charge the candidate the actual cost
for such removal.
