The City of Miami Solid Waste Department provides residential bulky trash collection once per week.
Collection includes yard/garden material, all shrubbery, vines and tree cuttings.
All items must be securely tied in bundles, no more than three (3) ft. in length nor weighing more than
fifty (50) lbs and placed in front of resident's property the evening prior to the scheduled collection day.
Yard trash must be separated from garbage and recyclables and should not be placed in the (blue) recycling bins.
Should the normal scheduled collection day fall on the Christmas or Martin Luther King holiday,
bulky trash collection will be performed on the next scheduled pickup day in your area
(i.e. holiday falls on Monday, trash will be collected the next scheduled Monday pickup).

Allowable Trash:
Yard, grass and leaves (bagged)
Tree, hedge and shrubbery trimmings
Household furniture
Appliances and bulky items
Prohibited items:
Construction or demolition materials or debris such as: wood, sand, rocks, dirt, carpet, entry doors, kitchen cabinets, wood fences, etc.
Roofing materials
Household/kitchen garbage
Tires and vehicle parts
Paint, oil and all chemical, flammable and hazardous materials
PLEASE NOTE: If utilizing a private tree trimming company, they are responsible for the removal of
large tree cuttings to a permitted disposal facility.
