Chief of Police Rodolfo Llanes to Remain at Helm for One More Year

(Miami, FL June 8, 2016) - City Manager Daniel J. Alfonso in a memo to Mayor Regalado and members of the City Commission outlines his decision to retain the services of Miami Police Chief Rodolfo Llanes for one year beyond his scheduled DROP date of October 10, 2016.

"This decision will ensure stability at the leadership level of the City's Police department. I am confident that we all agree that Chief Llanes is eminently qualified, respected and admired by many and will continue to do a great job as Chief for the Police Department," stated City Manager Daniel J. Alfonso.

City Manager Alfonso and Chief Llanes are working together to finalize the terms of the agreement.
