Commissioner Francis Suarez Attends U.S. Supreme Court Oral Argument in Washington, D.C. in City of Miami Reverse Redline Discrimination Lawsuits

(Miami, FL November 8, 2016) - City of Miami Commissioner Francis Suarez will hold a press conference following the oral argument he attended on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. before the U.S. Supreme Court in lawsuits the city brought against various banks for discriminatory mortgage lending practices that cost the city revenues and resources. These predatory lending practices also destroyed families who will be adversely affected for years to come following the devastating loss of their homes to foreclosure.

Commissioner Suarez will discuss the lawsuits, the oral argument in Washington, D.C. and how he will continue to pursue these claims aggressively to vindicate the city's rights on behalf of the community under the Fair Housing Act.
