iPlay Miami Play Street Opens in Coconut Grove

(Miami, FL December 8, 2016) - With the help of local artists, hopscotch and other outdoor games are making a colorful comeback in Miami! We are one of 50 cities in the country to receive a grant from the non-profit KaBOOM! to transform dead-end streets in each district into vibrant and safe play zones closed to vehicle traffic.

City Commissioner Ken Russell, in partnership with the Neighborhood Enhancement Team will celebrate the opening of the new iPlay Miami Play Street at 3499 Thomas Avenue in the West Grove on Friday December 9th at 3:30 pm. Elementary school students from The Barnyard afterschool program have been invited as special guests to inaugurate the Play Street.
