Proposed Budget for City of Miami

(Miami, FL July 7, 2017) - Mayor Tomas Regalado is pleased to announce the release of the FY 2017-18 Proposed Operating and Capital Budget. Highlights include a drop in the millage rate for property owners, more investments in capital projects, Planning and Zoning will be divided into two stand-alone departments, and there will be a new Department of Veterans Affairs and Homeless Services.

The City of Miami Office of Management and Budget will be conducting Community Budget Meetings around the City. Participants are invited to ask questions and learn about the Proposed Budget for the City's next fiscal year. Dates and locations are as follows:

  • Monday, July 17, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. at Juan Pablo Duarte Park (2800 N.W. 17th Ave, Miami, FL 33142)
  • Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. at Elizabeth Virrick Park (3255 Plaza Street, Miami, FL 33133)
  • Thursday, July 20, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. at the 12th Avenue Community Center (1300 S.W. 12th Avenue, Miami, FL 33145)
  • Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. at Charles Hadley Park (1300 N.W. 50 Street, Miami, FL 33142)
