MANDATORY TRAININGS REQUIRED EVERY 3 YEARS

Customer Service Champions (Level 1) - Are you new to the City? Customer Service and Public Service go hand in hand. Come to this mandatory training and learn the Customer Service Values that we want our employees to put forth in their roles.

Customer Service Champions (Level 2) - Renewal Course Do you need to renew your Customer Service Champions Mandatory Training? If yes, you can sign-up for our Level 2 Class which has been redesigned and will renew your training for another 3 years!

Professionalism and Ethics - Time to renew or take your first class in Professionalism and Ethics as a City employee? Professionalism and Ethics encompass the personal, organizational, and corporate standards of behavior that is expected of City professionals.

Equal Employment Opportunity, Sexual Harassment & Diversity - Time to renew or take your first class regarding Equal Employment Opportunity, Sexual Harassment & Diversity? Understand the laws and regulations regarding EEO, Sexual Harassment and Diversity. An educated employee is worth their weight in gold. 

OTHER MANDATORY TRAININGS REQUIRED ONCE IN EMPLOYMENT TENURE

New Employee Orientation – This program gives an overview of policies and information for all city employees for performance and compliance, as well as completes the on-boarding process with necessary paperwork and acknowledgment forms.

Supervisor Orientation Program – This is a 3-day program designed to provide supervisors with training and skills to be successful in their role as a manager.  Topics covered include performance management and appraisals, leadership, coaching, team building, and communications.  Information is also presented on City Administrative Policy Manuals, key union contract terms, Civil Service, and Risk Management protocols.

Public Records Training – This is a program designed to ensure compliance with Florida Statutes when receiving and processing requests for public records.
