Emilio T. Gonzalez, Ph.D. is Miami’s new City Manager. Dr. Gonzalez was nominated by Mayor Francis Suarez in December and confirmed by the City Commission on Thursday January 11th. The City Manager is the Chief Administrator responsible for managing all departments, city employees, and a $1.7 billion budget. Dr. Gonzalez is a retired Army Colonel and has extensive experience in different levels of business and government.

The first Wednesday of every month Café Conversations will take place in a different spot in the City of Miami. On February 7th we’re getting together at Vice City Bean 1657 North Miami Avenue Unit C. Starting Thursday, January 4, 2018 two southbound lanes will be closed on North Miami Avenue between NW 27th Street and NW 29th Street will be closed due to the installation of a water main line. This work will last approximately two weeks.
