Office of Resident Affairs and Public Documents

The office was created to bring government directly into the different neighborhoods and foster a much more responsive administration; one of transparency and accountability.

The Director of this office will be the liaison between residents and all of the different departments in order to facilitate any public record request. A record request should be e-mailed to the Director with a carbon copy to the City Attorney and the City Administrator. Your request will be responded in a timely manner and in the order that it was received.

There will be monthly meetings scheduled throughout the City. The goal of these meetings is to gather as much information and feedback from its residents in how to improve city services and how to better respond to their needs.

Additionally, once a month, the Mayor, City Administrators, Department Liaisons will meet with Homeowner's Association to discuss quality of life issues. This office is also responsible for coordinating of all of the Mayor's Special events throughout the year.

Preservation Miami

Preservation Miami is a new initiative that showcases what our great City has to offer with its history.

This new initiative will provide information on our areas with historic significance as well as information on our great neighborhoods throughout the City.

It is a false philosophy that everything new is better, with new technologies we can make our historic areas green, pedestrian friendly, and economical. We will take input from the residents, the stakeholders of our City. We will work within our departments to ensure that the charm of our areas remain congruent.

Bike Initiatives

Mayor Regalado is a strong supporter of the City of Miami Bike Master Plan and Bike Miami Days. He has continuously shared his support to create safer streets for City of Miami cyclists.

The City of Miami created a citywide Bicycle Master Plan. The master plan is the city's guiding document and one of the steps aimed at creating a diverse set of transportation alternatives. It supports a lively, active city for all residents and guests. The master plan's development includes 2 public summits (input sessions), the collection of existing data and analysis in a report, a bicycle parking study, the development of bicycle parking standards/guidelines, an updated bicycle network map, educational materials, and evaluation tools for use by City staff involved in coordinating, planning, designing, and constructing bicycle lanes and facilities within the city's limits.

Recovery Miami

The City of Miami is in the midst of an era of great change. Facing an economic recession that has not been seen since the 1920's, we have been presented with a great opportunity, thanks to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), to save jobs, and invest in keeping our community competitive.

A website has been created as a tool to keep you, the public, informed about what we have done with the ARRA funds. You will find information regarding how much funding we have received where it has been allocated, and what projects are being implemented. Mayor Regalado asks you to take time to explore this site, and take the opportunity to learn what your tax payer dollars are doing to improve your livelihood and prepare Miami for the 21st century.
