The Land Development Section is responsible for providing information and guiding developers, architects, and the general public through the special permit process of the zoning code.  The Section analyzes and makes recommendations on development proposals, special permits, variances, changes of zoning, and land use designation changes that affect the general welfare of the City of Miami.  It also issues Warrants, monitors projects that have regional impacts, and works with residents of the City to better understand their needs so as to implement necessary amendments to existing regulations as may be required.
